The second Episode of the COMING TO FUTA Series was held at the closed group on the 13th of December where the second speaker walked the Aspirants through FUTA likely obstacles and how to overcome them.

The speaker begin by starting first with the definition of Obstacles as something that stand up in the way of, or holds up progress. He then further classified obstacles based on seven different points.


Classification Based on Environmental Issue


As a fresher experiencing a new environment for the first time, it might be a little bit hard to adjust or adapt in the first place.
  The speaker advise students not to try and get everything right at once. Instead; students should take it one step at a time, remain confident and eventually will come to love the University Environment.


Classification based on Cost of Education


The speaker mentioned how although school fees are not expensive in FUTA but your first year are usually somehow while the remainning years will be cheaper and affordable.



Classification based on Pressure of Study


All fingers are not equal and the speaker address also buttress on the fact that some students get to sponsor themselves in school hence coping with these two sometimes can be tricky. He further explain how the pressure of study to avoid social and educational repercussions can also become an obstacle.
  The speaker urges students to focus more on learning rather than getting a good GPA. 


Classification Based on Health Issues


Since it is the first time being away from home, for most students, homesickness can strike very hard. However, thanks to modern way of communication, most students feeling homesick can stay connected with their parents, family members and friends over the internet .


Classification Based on Finding a New Friend

It can be a little bit difficult making friends at a new place, but don't make the mistake of thinking that you will have to fit in with people who have different interests. You can be yourself and find friends at the same time, you just have to be patient and involve yourself in activities that you like.



Classification Based on Procrastination

Procrastination is a thief of time and what needs to be done now, should not be left till tommorrow. The speaker stresses the importance of learning how to manage your time as the task of living alone, doing your required chores, maintaining a social life, and some other activities might make you lose track of tiem.
   Procrastinator sleep in irregular patterns and do everything at the last minute. He further added that; as a fresher, you should set a rough timetable and start utilizing your time more efficiently.


Classification based on Accomodation


This is one of the most common obstacle faced by freshers. You may get a place in the hostel or Outside School, but it can sometimes be quite difficult to find student accomodation that is right for you. 
    You have to consider factors such as distance, rent rates, facilities, roomates (if you're planning to have one), and etc. It is usually advisable to start planning for your accomodation before you leave home.

Towards the end of the seminar, the speaker expantiate on some solutions to overcoming likely obstacles in FUTA and they're sumamrized into below six points;
