Scholarship Opportunities - FutaNewsandGist

One of the common mistakes you might end up making is taking Scholarship program opportunities with levity hands . The speaker mentioned by saying; you might end up not to be too bothered about it and before you realize it, it will be too late.

"While scholarships eligibility is quite different and their rewards, one common factor is - Scholarship opportunities are usually targeted for 200L diligent students. So you need to be very concious once you're in your second year." He added
In today's era, one can almost NOT do without an IT Skills.

Whether you want to surf the Internet, write a document using Microsoft Word, design a presentation slide using PowerPoint, develop a software program using programming languages and etc.

Fortunately, FUTA is trying their best to Empower students (regardless of your departments) on IT Skills. Some of these courses are CSC 102, CSC 202 (Python and PHP ), and the like of others although students will still need a bit of Self-education to master these courses.

Entrepreneurship Skills

Entrepreneurship Skills - FutaNewsandGist

Entrepreneurship is defined as the art or science of innovation and risk-taking for profit in business. In an article shared earlier about 100L - 500L First Semester Courses to watch out for, EMT 301 (an Entrepreneruship Course) was briefly mentioned.

The speaker during the session explained to the participants that there's a practical session for EMT during the second semester in 300L where students can select any entrepreneur skills they would like to go for.

Whether you fancy personal growth, technical growth, or other forms of positive growth, there are some clubs (I mean the one that leaves a good impact on you) in FUTA that which you can join. Some of these clubs are the Google Developer Club, the Space Club, Impact Leadership Club, and some others.

However, you'll need to be a bit careful in choosing the club you want to belong to; as if it does not fit in into your interest, it might end up derailing you.

Sometimes it's not really the lack of resources that stop us, but the lack of awareness that the resources is available. While FUTA cannot be perfect in all ramifications, there are a lot of resources in the University that you can take advantage of, in order to become a better version of you.

One of these resources is the Albert Ilemobade Library which has a lot of digital, audio visual and physical reading materials for students.
