FUTA ASUU STRIKE 2020 Update

The Industrial Action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) which is said to be a warning strike is expected to span two weeks. This seems to be the second week of the strike and according to recent news; the union and the Federal Government had had a meeting last week where the FG was suggesting a merging of their payment system and Asuu proposed payment system.

However ASUU National Leaders took it back to her members as feedback and it was regretted, hence no greenlight for the annulment of the strike.

ASUU Strike earlier proposed a 2 weeks warning strike on the 9th of March, 2020. However with the way things are going with the Federal Government and ASUU, it is very much likely that the Strike might not be called off this week.
